A long time ago in the 1850's the Gold Rush started.GoldRush means that diggers rushed for gold.The digger's worked very hard to find gold.The Chinese dug for gold that the Europeans didn't find.The chinese dug in spots that other contries didn't go near.By 1854 there were 4,000 chinese on the Australiagoldfields.When people heard that gold had been found in australia they didnot think of useful thing like gold teeth or beatyful things like jewlrey.The Aborigial people may have found gold in Australia long before the Arrival of the Europeans settlers. Chinese looked different they dressed differently and ate different food from the Europeans.The fear of the chinese was considered the key driving force behind one of the newly federated Australia 's first acts - the 1901 white Astralia policy.Sometimes the gold rushes find gold in the water or on land and they used a pan, tradle and some packets of flour for food. When the miners went to find gold they brought a pan. The gold rushes found gold before the early settlers and the gold diggers had to work really hard and they were really poor. The miners didnt have much food or water for about a day or two.
